Commercial Catering Equipment Commissioning

Commercial catering equipment commissioning and operational checks following installation, replacement or relocation of professional kitchen appliances.

We Are Ready To Help You

Commissioning is the point at which installed or relocated catering equipment is checked for correct connection, operation and readiness for use. It should be appropriate to the appliance and manufacturer instructions rather than treated as simply switching the equipment on. For related support, see Commercial Catering Equipment Installation.

When commissioning is required

Commissioning can form part of a new installation, replacement, kitchen refurbishment or equipment relocation.

  • New commercial catering equipment
  • Replacement appliances
  • Equipment moved to a new position

What commissioning can involve

The exact checks vary by appliance, but may include confirming services, operating controls, heating or cooling behaviour, safety devices and any installation-specific requirements. Related support is available through Commercial Catering Equipment Installers.

Commissioning and future maintenance

Once the appliance is operating correctly, its make, model and serial number should be recorded so future servicing and repairs can be logged against the correct equipment. For fault-specific information, see Commercial oven thermostat fault.
