Commercial Kitchen Equipment Relocation

Commercial kitchen equipment relocation support for moving, disconnecting and recommissioning catering appliances within or between sites.

We Are Ready To Help You

Commercial kitchen equipment relocation can involve gas, high-load electrical connections, water, drainage and heavy appliances that need to remain level and serviceable after the move. For related support, see Commercial Catering Equipment Installation.

Planning an equipment move

Before moving an appliance, confirm that the new position can support its utility and clearance requirements.

  • Access route and appliance dimensions
  • Gas or electrical connection requirements
  • Water and drainage where applicable

Disconnecting and reconnecting equipment

Appliances should be disconnected and reconnected by people competent for the relevant work. Gas equipment in particular requires appropriately qualified engineers. Related support is available through Commercial Catering Equipment Commissioning.

Recommissioning after relocation

After a move, equipment should be checked before returning to normal service. Damage, disturbed connections or incorrect positioning can create faults that were not present before relocation. For fault-specific information, see Gas fryer burner not igniting.
