Commercial Kitchen Gas Interlock Testing & Servicing

Commercial kitchen gas interlock testing and servicing for systems linking gas availability with ventilation and safety conditions.

We Are Ready To Help You

A commercial kitchen gas interlock system is designed to prevent or isolate gas when the required safety conditions are not proved. In many kitchens this links the gas supply with mechanical ventilation and associated controls, so a fault can leave otherwise functional appliances unable to operate. For related support, see Commercial Gas Appliance Servicing.

Gas interlock faults we investigate

The correct response to an interlock fault is to identify which required condition is not being proved. The safety function should not be bypassed simply to restore gas.

  • Interlock panel not enabling the gas supply
  • Ventilation prove or airflow-related faults
  • Gas solenoid valve control problems

Testing and servicing

An engineer can test the system operation, confirm the relevant inputs and outputs and identify whether the issue sits with the interlock controls, ventilation proving arrangement, gas solenoid or another part of the safety chain. Related support is available through Restaurant Gas Safety Certificate.

Gas interlock and appliance repairs

An interlock problem and an appliance fault can exist at the same time. Once gas availability and safety conditions are confirmed, individual catering appliances can be diagnosed separately if they still fail to ignite or operate. For fault-specific information, see Gas fryer burner not igniting.
